The goal
Simplify the UCLA student experience. Instead of moving between multiple websites and apps, students should be able to reach essential university resources, keep track of academic responsibilities, follow campus activities, and organize their day in one place.
Current focus
The first version focuses on two features: a dining view for checking campus dining, and an indoor guide for finding rooms inside campus buildings, backed by local data on campus places and rooms. I am building it in Xcode with AI-assisted development, concentrating on what students actually need and how each feature should work.
Next milestone
Get a working build running on my iPhone and use it during my own days on campus, then decide which features to add next, such as academic deadlines and campus events.
Why I'm building it
As a new transfer student at UCLA, I found that everyday information is spread across many separate websites and apps. BruinHome is my attempt to bring the pieces I use most into a single, simple app.
Current status
BruinHome is an independent personal project and is not affiliated with UCLA. It is in early development: the dining and indoor-guide features are in progress, and no release date is set. Screenshots will be added once the first build is running.
